Ballybay Pearse Brothers have reached the county semi final after an epic encounter with neighbours Latton on Sunday last. Latton had the better of the first half and led at the break by a single point. With ten minutes to go Ballybay trailed by four points and deep in added time Christopher Mc Guinness fisted the equalising point to send the game to extra time. Latton were dealt a major blow when Aaron Mulligan received a black card and played most of the first period of extra time down a man. Scores remained hard to come by and in the end it was Paddy O Neill who sent over the winner. Full time score Ballybay 0-19 Latton 1-15. The lads will have no time to rest on their laurels as they meet Clontibret in the semi-final in Clones on Sunday next at 2pm.
