Six local community centres have benefited from funding recently announced by Minister for Rural & Community Development Heather Humphries. This funding will support a wide range of capital works such as upgrades to Kitchens, new Toilets, New Windows & Doors, upgrades to Heating Systems, Stage and Lighting systems, Purchase of equipment, fire safety improvement works, improved disability access and much more. Those who benefitted are: Aughnamullen Sarsfields GFC €24,784, Ballybay Pearse Brothers GAA €22,210, Doohamlet Community Centre €19,799, Drumhowan Community Group €24,173, Latton O’Rahilly GAA Club €23,267 and Tullycorbet Community Development Association €24,906.
