BALLYBAY HOSTS ALL IRELAND FISHING COMPETITION

The 56th National Coarse Fishing Federation of Ireland (NCFFI) All Ireland Championships for seniors and ladies was held in Ballybay last Sunday. This event is Ireland’s biggest and longest running one day coarse angling event and this year it was hosted by Ballybay Angling Association for the first time. The Riverdale Hotel was the event Headquarters. After a great day angling on the local lakes the overall winner was Vaidas Jagela who landed a catch weighing 23.300kg. There was excellent news on the local front as Ballybay Angling Associations Shelia Bromley was the winner of the All Ireland Ladies competition.
