Noel Duffy from Drumhowan is at present half-way through his 420km virtual walk from Monaghan 2 Mizen. From June 1st to 20th he will complete 20 half marathons. He is doing this in memory of his mother Nan Duffy. All funds raised go to the Irish Heart Foundation and The Acute Stroke Unit in OLOL Hospital, Drogheda. Then at sunrise on Saturday 20th June - longest day of the year - (4.55am) he is asking everyone either to walk the final mile or even get up and just take a photo at sunrise. This is to remember all those who either died or survived Heart Disease or Stroke. Please also wear red, colour of the Heart Foundation and also his mum's favourite colour. #SummerSunrise. As Nan shopped in Ballybay for many years one of the half marathons is going to take place in Ballybay starting and finishing in the park. Next Monday the 15th of June from 3 to 7pm Noel will be walking around the roads of Ballybay (4 laps x5km).
