Last week we reported that members of the local community were concerned that there was ongoing works at the Riverdale Hotel were in order to get it ready for use as an accommodation centre and that the community had not been consulted. Councillor Seamus Coyle gave an undertaking to follow this up with Monaghan County Council. Speaking to the Ballybay News on Monday evening Cllr. Coyle said, “The Planning Section of Monaghan County Council have confirmed no Planning Application has been received in relation to renovation or alternative use of the property, formerly known as The Riverdale Hotel”.
