On 8th February Sara Finlay-Keenan posted the following which is certainly worth printing here in the Ballybay News.

“We wanted to take a moment to thank all who have made the Kieran Finlay Foundation a resounding success! A special note of thanks to Kathy Durkin. The foundation has raised and distributed $145,000 to organizations such as: MIRT of Dublin, The Ballybay Cancer Society, The Ballybay GAA, CRY Ireland, and Hope House of Port Jefferson NY; as well as private donations to the cancer stricken of Long Island.

To quote Dr. O’Gorman of the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital in Dublin: “Money from the foundation has funded the Multiple Myloma research fellowship in the Dana Faber Cancer Institute in Boston.” The MIRT received an astounding $100,000 thanks to all of your generosity.

We would like to thank everyone who played an integral part in this fundraising campaign. The success of the Kieran Finlay Foundation would not have been possible without you and the entire Finlay Family, both in NY and in Ireland, wanted to take a moment to wholeheartedly Thank You”.
