Ballybay Monaghan Ireland

There were mixed fortunes for the footballers of Ballybay at the weekend. The men who are reigning county champions had a bye however results didn’t go their way and it now not possible to qualify for the semi finals. They play their last round robin game on Sunday at home to Truagh with a 5pm throw in. The ladies on the other hand are through to the County Intermediate final. This season the local side have amalgamated with Doohamlet and at the weekend they defeated Carrickmacross in the county semi-final. In the final they will meet Castleblayney who saw of Latton in the other semi-final. Check out further details in the sports pages.
