PRETTY SAFE PRETTY SEEN
‘Pretty Safe Pretty Seen’ is the theme selected by three young Ballybay Students as they hope for success in the National Junk Kouture competition. Lauren Duffy, Sinead Grogan and Lorna Hand who attend Ballybay Community College have spent the last 7 months recycling old high vis vests, cassette tapes, plastic balls and Christmas lights to make their costume for Junk Kouture. The trio made it through the selection process and then past the Regional finals to reach the National final which will take place in the 3Arena on 27th April. Lauren will model the costume however part of the overall marks come from an online vote which has been taking place since last Monday and which runs until Friday 14th April. The good news is that all locals can help the girls. To do so you must log into Facebook every 24 hours, go to the BOIstudents page, scroll to find the photo of Lauren and click to vote.
