Now that the outdoor green has its annual power wash all is now ready for the coming season. It is open every evening from 7pm for practice and also during the day for anyone that wishes to avail of the quieter time. It is hoped to start the town league this week with Liam Smyth’s taking on Paul Carragher’s also Joseph Crawford’s meeting Olivia Duffy’s Employment office. The Care chemist will meet Stephen Drury’s Supermarket. A full list of the draw is posted in the club pavilion.
The draw for the local league has been completed this week and is also posted on the notice board. There is 14 clubs taking part in this year’s league which is on Mondays and Fridays. With the first game taking place on Monday 1st May between Ballybay Whites and Ballybay Maroon who are both in section A. On the same date St. Michael’s of Cootehill will play Ardaghey.
The border counties list of games is also posted in the pavilion with our first game away to Dungannon on Wednesday 26th April starting at 7pm.
With all these matches to be played all we need is some fine weather. Another date for your diary is Saturday May 13th when we are going to Fivemiletown for the return match of the Vincent cup but more about that later.
