BOWLS

The final of the Mc Gurk Shield will take place at Omagh Outdoor Bowling Green on Tuesday 22nd August between Ballybay and Dungannon. The Ballybay Outdoor club has already won this trophy on two occasions in our time competing in the Border County’s league. With two games left in the Border Counties league we are in third place with a game in hand on Enniskillen who are in the lead at this time. The Town Tournament is down to the semi final stage, with Murnane’s already in the final and awaiting the outcome of the game between Paul Carragher’s and Patricia Mc Cabe’s better known as Soda barrel – that game will be played tomorrow evening 11th August. The games in the Outdoor cup are progressing well now with the following games to be played next week. Corcaghan v BVallybay White, Derryvalley v Ballybay maroon, Clontribet v St. Micahels and Latton v Shercock.Owing to the Monaghan v Dublin game our rinks qualifying games was put off until this Saturday 12th August so there is still time to get your name on the list in the club pavilion. Draws will take place at 9pm on Friday and all games will start at 11am sharp on Saturday.
