BOWLS

A good result was recorded last week when the Ballybay outdoor bowling club won their away game with Strule in Omagh. They now go on to meet Dungannon Bowling Club in Dungannon on Wednesday 22nd June in the Mc Guirk Memorial Shield. The local club is making good progress in the Border Counties League as they retain top spot with 34 points which is 6 points ahead of Enniskillen who we play next week on their patch.
On each Wednesday morning we have a group from Errigal Truagh Special Needs from 11am until 12noon also a group from Carrick Activation Unit. From 12noon to 1pm we have the National learning Network. There is usually between 30 and 40 including helpers. Last week we had brilliant sunshine which helped with the enjoyment - this will continue each Wednesday in June.
Bowling for beginners will be back on the agenda every Thursday from 16th June. This will also be available to improvers and will continue for 8 weeks starting at 7-30pm. For further details or to book ring Benny 0874152392. The time sheet is now on display in the club rooms for the singles champion of champions so now is the time to get your name down as it is limited to 32 persons.
