A Mindfulness Walk takes place at the Wetlands Centre, Clones Rd, Ballybay on Monday 20 June 2016 at 7.45 for an 8 pm start. This free walk lasts for one hour, is suitable for everyone and will be followed by tea and refreshments. The walk is directed by Anja Nohlen, Monaghan, who is a complementary health therapist and is also a trained walking leader by The Irish Heart Foundation.

The walk consists of a brief introduction to Walking Meditation and general instructions, with some stretching and grounding exercises. The round river walk focuses on coming into inner balance with breathing and sensory awareness exercises. The second round river walk focuses on connecting to and being part of the energy flow of the world we are sharing with meditations and visualizations. Ending with a reading of a topic related poem. There is then an opportunity for chatting over a cup of tea and finger food. It`s an interesting way to spend an evening on the solstice, the longest day of the year. Hope you can make it and bring along a friend. Further details if required can be had at 086 0660270. The event is organised by Ballybay Mental Health Association
