The Ballybay Outdoor Bowling Club is holding top spot in the Border Counties league when after 5 games they have a score of 36 points, four ahead of Enniskillen who are on 32. Our next game will be this week when we are away to Fivemiletown.

The local league is progressing well with the Ballybay Green team still on top and are likely to qualify for the play off. That will be some weeks off as section one has a number of games to play yet.

As part of a sports inclusion programme our club has been asked to hold a 4 week bowls programme on our green starting on Tuesday 26th June from 11am to 1pm. This will cater for adults with special needs and so we will at least 6 of our members to help during the two hours. This will be the third year that we have hosted this programme so our members should know the format.

The time sheet for the champion of champions singles (30th June) is ow posted in the club pavilion and now is the time to get your name on the list. All the teams that play in the outdoor league can put their name forward to play in the outdoor cup which will be played in early August.

The first game in the Town Tournament has taken place between Pat O Brien’s and a Bingo selection. Pat’s team showed their class by winning with the last bowl. There will be more teams playing this week so all are welcome to come and enjoy the fun.
