What a weekend it was for youngsters from the Tullycorbet area. Between swimming and athletics 18 gold medals and 2 silver medals were won and 14 children have secured their place on the Monaghan team for the All Ireland finals in Athlone in August. 7 gold and 2 silver medals were secured in the pool and 6 of the children will now represent Monaghan. In the U8 freestyle Nessa Doherty turned in an excellent performance. The medal winners and those heading to Athlone are:

The athletics finals held at the Peace Link Centre , Clones turned into a gold fest with nine athletes picking up winners medals. Of the nine, eight will represent Monaghan at the National Finals in Athlone in August. There were also excellent performances from Tiegan O Neil in the U8, 60m, Katie Glynn in the U12 ball throw, Darren Duffy in the ball throw and Daire Sheridan in U14 800m. The gold medal winners are:
