JOHN MC AVINEY PHOTOGRAPHIC EXHIBITION

One of Ballybay’s most loved sons, the late John McAviney was a well known photographer, particularly in Sports photography. John left thousands of photographs taken over the years from Club, County and Ulster matches. He was also a regular attendee at Glasgow Celtic matches. John also captured many events in Ballybay life over the years. His son Emmett has digitised many of his photographs and the exhibition is just a small selection from those photographs. John had an eye for ‘capturing the moment’ which is the skill of a great photographer and the Exhibition shows John’s work over the years. The Exhibition will be launched on Friday 17th in Ballybay GAA Centre at 7.30. For further information contact Aidan McQuillan at 086 8507319.
