Learghusa Healthcare who provide Home Care Services and Daycare Services to older people and people with disabilities for the HSE have purchased Mc Ginnity’s former shop at 58 Main Street and have started work to turn the building into their offices for the Monaghan area.
The founder of the new business Stephen Larrissy said, “My workers are currently starting works to restore the heritage building, starting with the front façade. Works on a new roof, new heating and electrical systems, and repairs to the windows will be progressing though this Spring using local builders and suppliers. Once the building is fully restored, we intend to operate it as offices for our Home Care Services and Daycare Services to older people and people with disabilities in the Monaghan area”.
Plans are also afoot to have a coffee shop on the ground floor suited to older people and people with disabilities and their families.
