Paddy Gilmour RIP

On Saturday 12th February the news broke of the passing of one of the most caring and dedicated Pearse brothers of the them all Paddy Gilmour. Paddy gave a number of decades to developing and supporting the clubs juveniles and this commitment will never been matched again. His quick wit and friendly banter will be sorely missed at Pearse Park. He still came to watch training sessions and engage with the up and coming stars of the future. This is testament to the character he was. Damien his son and current under 15 coach is definitely cut from the same cloth and continues to drive the standards that Paddy set over all those years. As a juvenile club we express our sincere sympathies to Damien, Angela, Kitty, Matt, James, Jamie, Leo and extended family and friends.. We are sure that Paddy is now with his beloved wife Mary and past friends that were also called too early and without doubt will be watching over the young players in maroon and white forever more.
