Teresa McNamee from St. Anne’s Nursing Home has been in touch to say a heart felt thank you to everyone in the local community who have helped in anyway in supporting the residents of the Nursing Home, which is located on the Clones Road, Ballybay. Speaking to the Anglo Celt, Teresa said, “On behalf of the staff and residents of St Anne’s Nursing home I would like to thank everyone in the local community who has provided entertainment for the residents over the past year. In particular I would like to mention those who visited in the lead up to Christmas, Scoil Eanna, TY students Ballybay community college, Ballybay Crèche, St Aidan’s Comprehensive Cootehill and all the teachers who made it possible, Ballybay Brownies, Ballybay community Choir and Aughnamullen CCE. Thank you also to Martin Mc Gilly and Damian Macklin aka “Santa” for making the residents Christmas party so enjoyable. Thank you too to Fr Mc Ginnity, Fr Maginn and local ministers for administering to the resident’s spiritual needs over the past year. Finally, a big thank you to all who donated spot prizes for our raffle and bought tickets. It has been more successful than we ever imagined”.
As mentioned, the raffle was a major success. In total there were 63 prizes – far too many to mention the winners.
