Popular local Ciaran Traynor who was recently hospitalised as a result of a fall is making steady progress. His family took to social media during the week to express they’re thanks to everyone has supported them at this time. Writing on the Ballybay and Its People facebook page, the family said,
Dear all, we would like to thank you all for your support over the past few weeks. Your kind words, visits and help have meant more to us than we can express. We were deeply touched by the support, prayers and attendance at Mass for Ciaran. It gave us all comfort at a very challenging time. Thank you to Fr. Paddy Mc Ginn and all involved in organising such a heartfelt ceremony.
Thank you so much to Gillian and Brenda for setting up the Go Fund Me Page for Ciaran. Your kindness and initiative have made a real difference during this difficult time. We are overwhelmed by the generosity of friends, neighbours and the surrounding community. Wors cannot thank you all enough.
We are very pleased to say that Ciaran has recovered to a point we never thought possible. He has a long road ahead, but we are confident that with his strength and determination his rehabilitation will be successful.
We will be forever grateful for your support, Mile Buiochas
